Suren Jayemanne - The Bag of Vegeta

While it is easy to feel like we are fast approaching the END TIMES, The Bag of Vegeta draws on Eastern spirituality to offer an optimistic view of the world today; exploring everything from rescue dogs to meditation, funny accents to flavour enhancers and in doing so makes the case for the oneness of everything. A comedy show about fears, desires and how they are one and the same. With some vegeta sprinkled on top.

After a stellar run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Suren Jayemanne brings The Bag Of Vegeta to Adelaide Fringe in 2024. It’s a show ‘ostensibly about religion (which explains its name, a clever play on the Hindu seminal text The Bhagavad Gita) that delves into the importance of being present.’ (★★★★ The Age)
