What's On

Horizon

There is a place between the sea and the sky – a sacred realm, where the sun rises and falls, and the light is new.

In Bangarra's first mainstage cross-cultural collaboration, leading Māori choreographer and Arts Laureate Moss Te Ururangi Patterson joins beloved Bangarra alumna Deborah Brown. Together they guide our award-winning ensemble in stories that honours the First Peoples of the Oceania region, spanning across the continent now known as Australia, the Torres Strait Islands and our southern neighbour, Aotearoa.

Horizon is a double bill opening with Saibailayg (Saibai Islander) Sani Townson’s acclaimed work Kulka, which debuted as part of Dance Clan in 2023, and will be followed by the primary piece, The Light Inside, co-choreographed by Moss Te Ururangi Patterson and Deborah Brown.

    Heathers The Musical
Capturing the essence of its predecessor, Heathers The Musical is an absurdly comic production that doesn’t just walk the line of polite society but plans to blow it all up with reckless abandon.
