What's On

Storked

Antipodes Theatre Company, who brought you acclaimed productions of Ghost Quartet (Two 2020 Green Room Award nominations), Passing Strange (five 2023 Green Room Award nominations) and Guys and Dolls (thirteen 2024 Green Room nominations, including two wins) presents their second World Premiere production – STORKED by Myf Hocking.

An electric exploration of the choice to choose, living in a body that constantly betrays you, and finding the people in your life who matter most, Storked takes a fresh, funny, and suprising look at the expectation upon AFAB bodies to have children and the growing awareness that it might not be such a great idea in our world today.

Through a series of vignettes, a handful of actors explore society’s obsession with monogamy, pregnancy, parenting and chosen family in increasing levels of absurdity, hilarity and poignancy. We guarantee this wild and visceral show will be unlike anything you’ve seen before.

For the first time in Antipodes history, the cast and creative team is made up entirely of female and non-binary creatives. Director Maude Davey is joined by a powerhouse ensemble of talent including Milo Hartill (Cyrano), Myf Hocking (Trophy Boys), Kikki Temple (Burgerz), Teo Vergara (Jagged Little Pill) and Elliot Wood (Pass The Parcel!), and the creative team is packed with a thrilling mix of established and emerging talent. Running for two weekends only.
