

I love Jane Eyre. I've loved it for a long time, and seeing new versions of it is always something that excites me. This one, however, is not one that I can recommend.



The English National Ballet have a mixed bag of performances at this event; a 'greatest hits' that really showcases the talent of the classically trained dancers.


Charcoal Creek has everything going for it. It has a fantastic cast, is well directed, beautifully designed, and has all the resources of Merrigong's excellent development program behind it. Unfortunately, it is let down by the writing, and what lies beneath that writing.
