This Turandot is as good as it gets. A fabulous production directed and choreographed by Graeme Murphy, a great cast headed by Australia's answer to Pavarotti, Rosario la Spina, and passionate, committed conducting from the Estonian conductor Arno Volmer.

Midsummer (a play with songs) is an utterly, utterly gorgeous piece of theatre. It is riotous and chaotic and hilarious and tragic and messy and beautiful (and yes, it has songs).

Overall the sense of joie de vivre of the show is irrepressible. It’s still a great night out, though a little longer and a few more acts would keep the show fresh.

This is a clever, witty, entertaining piece of musical theatre. It asks the audience to remember the simple things in life while reminding it of the challenges that lurk on every street corner.
